We got food yesterday and it was just fantastic! So many great details that you won't find anywhere else, like vegetables in the sauce, fries perfectly fresh and crispy, even though I had to drive them for 20 minutes, really great salad with sunflower seeds on it, really everything top quality, super packed in compostable boxes, I was consistently enthusiastic. Friendly and good prices on top of that! All of us, from 5 year olds to grandmothers, enjoyed it very much, definitely again next weekend! ❤️

Very special beer garden due to the many fruit trees under which the beer sets have been set up. There is also a nice playground for children, which is easy to see. The selection on the menu is typical of a beer garden and extensive. It is particularly pleasing that there is local beer from Erlangen's famous Steinbach brewery fresh on tap.

Wonderful beer garden in the immediate vicinity of Erlangen. Here you can relax and unwind, as everything is well organized. The benches and tables are well distributed under shady fruit trees. The food is excellent and partly from our own butcher's and hunting. Gladly again.

A wonderful late summer day, brisk visitors, a wonderful garden under fruit trees, benches with backrests, children's playground, spacious, on Sunday noon even soft background music live. There were four of us and we had venison sausages with potato salad (a small side salad, the healthy one, would have gone well with it or at least a salad set), very good half duck with very tasty red cabbage and dumpling, Schäufele with great savoy cabbage and dumpling. Without exception, the food was excellent at a high price level. The Steinbach beer too, of course, but to be honest, far too expensive. The organization - also in the Corona period - exemplary. Now a word about the presentation on the website: The beer garden cannot be found under Location, rather by chance if you scroll vigorously and click. And then? The photos show the garden empty and forbidding. A tip to the operator: Take advantage of the late summer weather for a photo with the red apples on the trees and the garden with numerous guests enjoying, as it was presented last Sunday at noon!

Sunday, September 13th, 2020 1/2 duck with dumpling and red cabbage. € 14.50 Half of it went back because the skin was completely salty and lumpy. Blue cabbage didn't seem fresh either. Furthermore, a boring lunch plate on which a mixed salad actually has no place. Schnitzel was basically okay, the potato salad with it was bucketful. I expect better from a restaurateur like the Nägelhof in Erlangen. The two stars are only given for the wonderful location and the cold beer, but there are other places too. P.S. The staff shouldn't nag each other in front of waiting guests, just as a tip. But we're not coming here any more.

Spacious beer garden on a large meadow surrounded by fruit trees with a great playground! Self service. Fair prices. Plan long waiting times for meals at peak times! Toilet not barrier-free!

Very tasty, great price-performance ratio! We were there on a Sunday in August and there was even a group of musicians playing traditional brass music. We ate dumpling with sauce, with a Storchen Bräu, which was very good. You could hardly ask for a better ambience for a beer garden. The garden is very spacious, with a few fruit and walnut trees here and there. We'll be back on our next vacation!

Very nice beer garden in nature. Due to its own playground and surrounding meadows to romp around very well suited for families with children. Only the choice of food could be a bit more varied.

The beer garden is always worth a visit. There is also a lot on offer for children. There is good spacing and the tables are disinfected. The security concept makes you feel good. I've been going back for over 40 years.

Very nicely located beer garden with good food and drinks. The location definitely makes this beer garden something very special. Some of the tables are in the orchard, which makes it very cozy and idyllic. The staff is friendly and the toilets are clean.

What is the internet for? Closed due to weather forecast ... No notice in the network, so that not only we stood in front of the closed garden and drove to or walked for free.

Very large beer garden. Unfortunately, there is only partial natural shade, some seats are on a meadow with a few trees (umbrellas available). The sausages and sauerkraut are highly recommended. The price level is very high. Changing beers.

Really nice atmosphere completely different from the usual places in Erlangen City. It doesn't seem to be in Erlangen! The beer garden is huge and really nice. The self service is well organized and works pretty smoothly although the relevant amount of people. Food and beverage is quite nice and price is aligned with the overall experience.

Great beer garden up on the mountain, nice and shady and spacious. Very well organized self-service service, little waiting time, we had chicken and schnitzel, both very good value for money is good. We would love to come back.

Nice beer garden which also serves good food!

Very nice after the renovation last year. The beer garden is ideal as a stop or starting point for a hike in the area. It has a large children's playground that is obviously going down well with the little ones. Food and drinks are of good quality, but unfortunately the menu is limited.

Very snobby place.. food is good, but not very traditional... selling selters water at a beergarden kind of ruins my bicycle trip. Nevertheless, bratwurstsalat was nice und berry wines also looked interesting

Really nice place for families with kids, lots of stuff for them to play in. It's self service and the waiting time was a bit long.. around 30mins. The food itself is quick to come out of the kitchen, the waiting time seems to be mostly due to drinks and ice creams (single queue for all types of requests)

Very nice Biergarten. Beautiful outdoor area with lots of old trees and nice views. Great food selection well prepared and reasonably priced.

Healthy food in a Biergarten? Yes, this is possible. Here you find vegan food like lentils or cous-cous terrins with salads. Landscape of the surroundings is simply beautiful.

Atzelsberg is a small local restaurant set in the grounds of an orchard. The food and beer are local and good but what makes this restaurant is the orchard. If you have kids they have acres to play in and you can sit in the sunshine whilst they do so. This is only place I dont see kids playing with their nintendos or other gadgets as they are happily climbing trees, playing football, collecting apples or just chasing each other around. The prices here are a tad higher than similar beer gardens in the locale but you cannot beat the location. The only difficulty is that on a sunny day in the summer it becomes quite busy.
